Raspberry Pi is a credit card sized computer which can be connected to a TV and a keyboard. It allows you to do all the common tasks you do on your PC namely - word processing, creating spreadsheets, playing games, and even watching high definition videos.
Raspberry Pi is specifically targeted at children to teach them programming and help raise their computer awareness. Purportedly costing a mere $25 - $35, this project has been in the limelight for some time now.
On 22nd of February 2012, Raspberry Pi foundation in collaboration with the Seneca Center for Development of Open Technology (CDOT) and the Fedora Project, are all set to unveil a new Linux distribution named Raspberry Pi Fedora Remix 14.
As the name indicates, the Linux distribution is basically a remix based on Fedora 14 that is optimized for the Broadcom BCM2835 processor that powers the Raspberry Pi computer.

The Raspberry Pi computer will start shipping sometime this month . Initially, they plan to ship 10,000 pieces. There will be 2 models. Model A will cost $25, and Model B will cost $35 and will be shipped world wide.
